Mr. Winkle Wakes by Matthew Needleman

The video on Mr. Winkle indicates that although mostly everything changed over the past one hundred years he has been sleeping, the classrooms in schools managed to stay the same as time and technology increased. This indicates that no matter how much technology advances, there is always going to be a need for teachers to TEACH. As time progress, even more technology will emerge. Although teachers will most likely use some type of technology to teach, teachers will still be apart of students lives. Students will still have to study, take notes, have homework, and pass tests.

In my opinion, I believe that Mr. Winkle definitely got his point across. There were so much new technology when he woke up that he probably did not think it was possible in his days. In the next one hundred years, or maybe even fifty, there will be much more technology than we would have ever thought about. This just makes me wonder and anticipate on how the future will impact our lives for better or for worse.

  1. What about my comment that I am not a teacher? You say teachers must TEACH! I say they must be learners. Do we disagree?
